LEYMUS arenarius

Leymus arenarius is popular with gardeners for the wonderful color it provides a landscape. Its metallic, blue-gray foliage creates an arching clump with a running growth habit. Blue lyme grass is particularly useful in coastal areas because of its tolerance to sand, sun, and drought. Although lyme grass is a cool season grower, it is tolerant of warm summers and high humidity. Prefers heavy soil and is tolerant of water extremes.
