CUPRESSOCYPARIS leylandii

"Leyland Cypress". A large, noble tree of dense, columnar habit, extremely vigorous in growth. Foliage borne in flattened or irregular, slightly drooping sprays, similar to those of C. nootkatensis, but less strong-smelling when bruised. It is the fastest-growing conifer or evergreen. When trimmed it is important that only the young growth is cut into.
