ROBINIA hispida

A medium-sized, suckering shrub of irregular habit with long, glandular-britly branches. Short racemes of large, deep rose flowers, in May-June. Pods, when produced, glandular-bristly. An excellent small tree when grafted on to stems of R.pseudoacacia, but rather brittle and requires a sheltered position. It may also be grown effectively against a sunny wall.(5)
