SKIMMIA reevesiana

A dwarf shrub, rarely reaching 90cm, forming a low, compact mound. Leaves narrowly elliptic, often with a pale margin. Flowers hermaphrodite, white, produced in short, terminal panicles in May, followed by obovoid, matt crimson-red fruits which last through the winter and are usually present when the flowers appear again in spring. It is not satisfactory on chalky soils.(9)
