MISCANTHUS giganteus

Description

Grows in erect clumps and has huge, pale, blue-green foliage. The leaves are pendant, giving the overall effect of a large fountain. The white panicles are pyramidal shaped and up to 20" long. Makes a great background, specimen, screen, or conversation plant! A late bloomer or not at all in cooler climates. The lowest foliage (3') frequently turns brown in late summer if water supply is inadequate. Does well at water's edge of ponds.
