This selection is a dwarf type compared to the original Fargesia murieliae type. New culms may extend up to 2 m in length, but arching due to the weight of leaves results in a maximum height of 1.5 m.
Applications
This new form can be used at any place in the garden. Due to its low height it is however unsuitable as a visual screen. It can be used as as a specimen or as pot plant. When used as pot plant ample water has to be provided in dry conditions. They grow best in half shadow but can grow in sunny places as well.
